An international, English-speaking commercial court in Brussels
Following a joint initiative by the Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Koen Geens, today's Council of Ministers approved the draft bill, during its second reading, to create an international, English-speaking commercial court in Brussels. This court, to be called the Brussels International Business Court (BIBC), will deal with international commercial disputes between companies. Until now, companies wishing to deal with a dispute in English had to go to London or to private arbitration.…

Google announces new investment in Belgium
Google announces today, in the presence of Prime Minister of Belgium Charles Michel, a new investment of approximately EUR 250 million to build another data centre on their current site in Saint-Ghislain. The construction brings the total investment in Belgium to EUR 1 billion. Google also unveiled a new solar plant on the land of the data center following a EUR 3 million investment.

Joint Statement – Gäichel X
On 23 November 2017, under the joint chairmanship of Prime Ministers Charles Michel and Xavier Bettel, the 10th joint meeting of the Belgian and Luxembourg Governments was held in Brussels. This meeting is in keeping with the well-established tradition of meetings between the two Governments since the first Gäichel meeting which was held on 28 April 2004.
