Maximus, the new resident at number 16

A very special resident has settled in at 16 Rue de la Loi: Maximus Textoris Pulcher!
This beautiful cat was abandoned and later found in the wild, after which he was taken in by POEZENBOS animal shelter (https://poezenbos.be) in Buggenhout. After his stay at the shelter, he has now started a new and comfortable chapter in his life, enjoying the corridors of 'number 16'.

His life outdoors, however, has left its mark: Maximus is a carrier of the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which means that he must live exclusively indoors and not have contact with other cats.
Maximus is a Scottish Fold cat, the breeding of which is banned in Flanders and the Brussels Capital Region because of a genetic mutation that causes pain and deformities.

Despite his difficult past, Maximus deserves a peaceful life, appropriate care and, above all, plenty of affection - and he gets that every day now.
His integration is going extremely well: he is pampered, has company and seems to have adapted perfectly to his new environment. A wonderful second chance for this charming companion.

In response to numerous requests, you can now follow Maximus’ adventures on his Instagram account: @maximustp16

Welcome, Maximus!
