Good exchange today with President Daniel Noboa of Ecuador in Brussels. We discussed a range of issues, with a clear focus on strengthening cooperation in the fight against international organised crime, particularly along global supply chains and in our ports.

We also reaffirmed our strong trade relationship. Belgium is a key gateway for Ecuadorian exports to Europe, while Belgian companies remain committed partners in growth, infrastructure and innovation.

We will continue to work closely together on both security and trade. In a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape, cooperation with like-minded partners is becoming ever more crucial.
