Yesterday, I visited The Coca-Cola Company in Anderlecht to mark the 25th anniversary of their research department, one of the largest in the world.

Innovation is crucial to strengthening our productivity and competitiveness. Belgium is a European leader when it comes to investment in innovation: we dedicate 3.3% of our GDP to it, which is 50% more than the EU average. Only Sweden performs slightly better.

Private investments in innovation, like those made by Coca-Cola, directly fuel our economic growth. They underpin our prosperity, and that deserves full recognition!
