Meeting companies in New York: Belgium Open for Business

One of the important components of my visit to New York this week is to share a clear message: Belgium is — and will remain — open for business.

Therefore it is inspiring to see such strong transatlantic interest in energy and logistics: two vital sectors at the heart of prosperity, trade, and innovation.

I was proud to introduce several Belgian companies during a gathering of Belgian and American businesses from these sectors:

Port of Antwerp-Bruges – a key gateway for trade and a pioneer in renewable energy.
Elia Group – strengthening energy flows, both in Europe and through innovative partnerships in the US.
Fluxys Group – supporting Europe’s energy security and the green transition.
Brussels Airport Company and Liege Airport – crucial links for transatlantic logistics and sensitive goods.

Belgian expertise is building the future in the US:

CE+T Power America, DEME Group, Jan De Nul Group, Sarens, and John Cockerill are driving breakthroughs in grid modernization, renewable power, major infrastructure, and clean hydrogen production.

This is more than trade — it’s trust and partnership. Together, let’s unlock new growth and opportunity on both sides of the Atlantic.
